Crisis Outreach Clinician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Outreach Clinician to join our team at the City of Albuquerque, NM. As a Crisis Outreach Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing professional behavioral health services to citizens of diverse backgrounds who are involved with law enforcement and are experiencing, or are at risk for experiencing, a behavioral health crisis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-scene, biopsychosocial assessments and interventions to assist citizens and guide Law Enforcement response.
  • Work alongside APD CIU Detectives, liaising with other first responders and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Collaborate with community services and resources to provide comprehensive support to citizens in crisis.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, social work, or related Behavioral Health field.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a qualified Behavioral Health Clinician.
  • Possession of any of the following licenses or certifications: Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and in crisis intervention settings.
  • Knowledge of community services and resources, referral systems, and transitioning procedures.
