Job Description

First Choice Community Healthcare INC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Eligibility Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Eligibility Specialist, you will play a critical role in determining patient eligibility for various healthcare funding programs, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach and education activities to inform patients and the public about health insurance coverage available to them.
  • Verify insurance eligibility for Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payors, ensuring that all documentation has been accepted.
  • Update patient records in the practice management system, including income and insurance information.
  • Provide information to patients and the public concerning functions of FCCH, ensuring customer satisfaction and the highest level of customer service.
  • Meet monthly enrollment quotas and document for grant reporting.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • At least two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is mostly inside an office in a controlled environment.
  • Normal office safety precautions and practices are required.
  • Position requires travel throughout the Greater Albuquerque metropolitan area.
