In this position, you will leverage your mechanical skills to conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for all customer equipment requirements. Embarking on a career with Butler means starting a journey of both personal and professional development.

Compensation for Full-Time Technicians: $30.56/hr-$49.51/hr, DOE. ($2.00 field differential)

Key Responsibilities of a Diesel Service Technician

The role encompasses, but is not limited to, the following duties:
  • Conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural machinery and systems.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities across all diesel technology systems and components, such as hydraulics, electrical systems, power trains, etc.
  • Opportunity for overtime as workload necessitates (anything over 8 hours a day is compensated at 1.5x your hourly rate).
  • Proactively maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
  • Commit to continuous learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product advancements.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Opportunity to travel to various locations as needed.

Qualifications for a Diesel Technician Career
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Capacity to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in computer technology.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred ability to meet and maintain insurability standards for driving a company vehicle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a quick learning ability.
  • Preferred degree or certification in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Willingness to acquire trade-specific tools, including hand and impact tools.
  • Applied knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
  • Must possess valid work authorization and be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
