Job Summary

The Center City District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of its high-profile parks, leased cafes, and events. This is a hands-on supervisory position that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the operations of maintenance associated with all CCD assets, ensuring that parks and events are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Assist the Park Operations Director with the preparation of monthly reports and the management of onsite contractors after regular operating hours.
  • Supervise the activities of CCD field personnel, ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure, and train full-time technicians and part-time event staff.
  • Coordinate and supervise events, including the management of contracted work and staff in the absence of the Events Logistics Manager.
  • Oversee the storage and handling of in-house materials and parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safe working practices and on-site safety inspections.
  • Manage contracts and contractors to support assigned duties, and develop and maintain processes that assure compliance to contracts.
  • Assist in planning and preparing long and short-term maintenance schedules, and coordinate the removal of snow and ice with CCD vendors.
  • Work with private property owners and others on fee-for-service projects, and assist in developing budget projections for the department.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years related professional experience in facilities management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Experience in all aspects of maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks, as well as assigned work vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing required.
