We're seeking a skilled Hydraulic Modeler to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our water practice, you'll work on a wide range of projects serving municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, calibrate, and interpret water distribution, wastewater, and stormwater models
  • Use models to understand system performance and inform design improvements
  • Evaluate and apply advanced engineering and modeling techniques
  • Conduct master planning and conceptual studies using models
  • Perform sewer evaluation studies, including RDII analysis and flow monitoring program development
  • Plan and execute field work for model calibration and validation, including fire flow testing and pressure monitoring
  • Model water quality and transient conditions
  • Engage in programming, statistical analysis, and data research
  • Analyze and interpret data using GIS software
  • Prepare technical reports and client presentations
  • Participate in global technical communities of practice
  • Ensure model quality, accuracy, and compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or ability to obtain via comity
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Expertise in modeling software, including InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, and others
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems and modeling outputs
  • Working knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop others
  • Proficiency in writing and reviewing technical reports
Desired Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Conveyance and/or pump design experience
  • Transient analysis expertise
  • Programming skills in languages like Python and Visual Basic
  • Prior project management experience or interest in growing into technical project management
