Job Summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled engineer to join its Hydraulic Modeling Team. As a Senior Hydraulic Modeler, you will be responsible for performing complex computer modeling on water distribution and collection systems, analyzing data, and presenting findings through technical reports and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Collection Strategies
  • Perform Advanced Hydraulic Modeling for water distribution and wastewater systems, utilizing industry-leading software
  • Prepare and Present Technical Reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations
  • Design and Develop Informative Maps using geographic data, to support decision-making and visualization
  • Analyze and Interpret Complex Data using data tools and software, to inform modeling and reporting
  • Produce High-Quality Visualizations to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements
  • Extensive Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, with a strong understanding of water distribution and wastewater systems
  • Proficiency in Industry-Leading Software for water distribution and wastewater modeling, as well as GIS software for mapping and analysis
  • Experience with Programming Languages, to support data analysis and visualization
  • Ability to Work Safely in the Field, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Related Field, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework
  • 2 Years of Experience in water distribution and wastewater systems, with a proven track record of success
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, with a strong commitment to professional development and certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 Years of Experience in water systems modeling and design, with a strong portfolio of work and achievements
  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Related Field, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework
