Your Role

Georgia-Pacific's Building Products Division is seeking a skilled Divisional Reliability Engineer specializing in Lubrication and Hydraulics.

This pivotal role will require you to act as the subject matter expert (SME) in hydraulic and lubrication systems, leveraging your leadership skills to foster collaboration and drive enhancements in these critical areas within the Building Products Division.

This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize resources, innovative technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives to strategically position our facilities for growth.

Key Responsibilities


Promote the Market-Based Management (MBM) culture at the mill by applying PBM principles and mental models in your interactions with team members.

  • Identify and engage with site locations to enhance their lubrication, air, and hydraulic processes.
  • Collaborate with the corporate technology group to advance monitoring strategies.
  • Conduct audits on equipment and processes to ensure program consistency and recommend enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain an Asset Health program aligned with business objectives for sustainable asset performance.
  • Effectively mentor others while sharing knowledge for continuous learning and employee development.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies for lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Assess repair vendors and conduct site visits to review failures and assist with critical fluid power installations.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure design for reliability in all new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 15+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful lubrication and hydraulic programs.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with current and emerging lubrication and hydraulic technologies, including intelligent sensors.
  • Knowledge of lubrication filtration and compressed air systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Capability to conduct audits and apply root cause analysis techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in tribology (minor acceptable).
  • Certification in lubrication (MLT, MLA, or CLS).
  • Certification in Fluid Power (IFPS FPS or equivalent).
Compensation

For this role, the anticipated salary range is $130K - $150K.
