Your Role

Georgia-Pacific's Building Products Division is seeking a skilled Divisional Reliability Engineer specializing in Lubrication and Hydraulics. This position will require you to be a leader and a subject matter expert (SME) in hydraulic and lubrication systems, collaborating effectively to drive improvements in these critical areas.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Promote the Market-Based Management (MBM) culture at the facility by applying PBM principles and mental models in your interactions.
  • Identify and engage with site locations to enhance their lubrication, air, and hydraulic processes.
  • Collaborate with the corporate technology team to refine monitoring strategies.
  • Conduct thorough audits on equipment and processes to ensure consistency and recommend enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain an Asset Health program that aligns with business objectives for sustainable asset performance.
  • Coach and mentor team members while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and employee development.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving for lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Assess repair vendors and conduct site visits to evaluate failures and assist with critical fluid power installations.
  • Work alongside engineering teams to ensure reliability is a key consideration in the design of new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective lubrication and hydraulic programs.
  • The ability to read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with current lubrication and hydraulic technologies, including intelligent sensors.
  • Knowledge of lubrication filtration and compressed air systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong auditing skills and knowledge of root cause analysis.
  • A willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that will set you apart include:

  • A degree in tribology or a related field.
  • Certification in lubrication (MLT, MLA, or CLS).
  • Certification in Fluid Power (IFPS FPS or equivalent).

Compensation

For this position, the anticipated salary range is between $130K - $150K.
