Timekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Timekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the City of New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a group of Timekeepers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of time and leave records, and providing training and support to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Timekeepers and ensure accurate and timely processing of time and leave records.
- Train and support Timekeeping staff on day-to-day operations, including reviewing, analyzing, and processing time and leave transactions.
- Perform consistent and ongoing review and analysis of daily input reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency and citywide policies.
- Ensure adequate coverage of timekeeping operations and monitor attendance and performance of subordinates.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with designated RC Personnel and identify system problems and training needs.
- Conduct and participate in staff meetings, facilitate agenda, and encourage relevant discussion to convey and obtain information.
Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
- Or an associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above.
- Or a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above.
