About the Company:
Our client specializes in crafting and producing industrial packaging solutions, tailored to meet diverse client needs. Their core offerings include timber and corrugated products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and periodically review risk assessments and associated Safe Operating Procedures, identifying effective solutions to mitigate risks.
- Generate regular safety, health, and environmental reports during site visits.
- Following audits, develop actionable plans and report enhancements to site management.
- Collaborate with site management to ensure completion of action items.
- Stay informed on current legislation and maintain a thorough understanding of compliance requirements.
- Perform SHEQ inspections in accordance with international standards and UK regulations.
- Develop QSHE policies in partnership with the Head of HSER UK.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to mandatory regulations and assisting in investigations as necessary.
- Provide guidance on safety issues to site management teams.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Review documentation related to investigations to ensure thoroughness and compliance.
- Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to established policies and report any discrepancies.
- Lead Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality meetings, documenting and distributing minutes.
- Create and disseminate Toolbox talks relevant to operational contexts.
- Deliver non-technical training on safe operating procedures to management.
- Participate in shift briefings as required.
- Conduct in-house checks and ensure compliance with established frequencies.
- Undertake regular site tours, aiming for at least two inspections daily.
- Perform audits in office and workshop environments.
- Support the collection of information for external audits to maintain accreditation.
- Collaborate with team members across sites to foster a unified approach.

Candidate Profile:
- Minimum IOSH Managing Safely certification
- NEBOSH certification is highly desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in health, safety, and environmental roles
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
- Familiarity with web and mobile auditing tools
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with strong influencing capabilities.
