This is an exciting opportunity to join Trinity Health as a Nurse Specialist in Patient Safety and Compliance. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff.



Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Preadmission Testing department. In this role, you will be responsible for screening incoming colleagues, providers, vendors, and visitors entering our facilities, ensuring that they meet our compliance screening requirement guidelines.



Responsibilities


  1. Perform specific health screenings of persons entering Trinity Health facilities following established regulatory and internal guidelines and procedures.




  2. Check temperature (no touch) and screen for symptoms by asking colleagues, providers, vendors, and visitors a series of questions or ensuring that inquiry systems or electronic applications are used and that persons are approved for entry.




  3. Provide masks as needed and educate those desiring to enter facilities on the practices and protocols for entry and re-entry.




  4. Report to manager or other identified escalation resources any person(s) who refuses and/or does not pass the screening and/or compliance screening requirement guidelines.




  5. Monitor, organize, and keep work areas sanitized and clean, ensuring that screenings may take place outside the doors to Trinity Health facilities in order to maintain appropriate protection inside the buildings.





Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nursing, with a current licensure in the State of New York. You will also need to have experience in patient safety and compliance, with a proven track record of ensuring the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
