Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Luminis Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, medical staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately obtain and process patient demographic, insurance, and medical information for registrations, admissions, and financial purposes.
  • Register patients face-to-face, communicate financial responsibilities, and collect funds accordingly.
  • Prioritize workflow to meet deadlines and maximize productivity, monitoring and correcting department work queues.
  • Apply technical knowledge in multiple systems, including Epic-based applications, Meditech applications, and administrative applications.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of downtime and disaster procedures, performing job functions during such conditions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of previous customer service experience, with prior registration or insurance experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills and web-based applications, with ability to perform data entry.
Working Conditions

This role requires light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
