Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance our efficiency in delivering essential tools to those driving innovation across various sectors.


As a Kubernetes SME within our organization, you will leverage your technical background to optimize our software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to monitoring in a live environment.

Your role will involve integrating open-source technologies, automation processes, and cloud solutions to minimize repetitive tasks, allowing our developers to concentrate on what they excel at – creating innovative solutions.

Additionally, you will implement continuous integration and delivery practices to reduce the need for manual testing and troubleshooting. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your experience in contemporary, cloud-native software development.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in team management and leadership
  • 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proven experience in establishing Kubernetes environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of Configuration as Code tools, including AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Capability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization mechanisms, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Advanced networking design and troubleshooting skills, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Certification
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate Certification

Clearance Requirements:


Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 annually.
