About Us

Founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions boasts over 30 years of experience in assisting individuals in crisis. We operate two of the largest and most researched crisis response centers in the nation and are in the process of expanding our services to additional states. Since our inception, we have delivered care and treatment to hundreds of thousands of individuals facing crises.

Key Responsibilities:

This role entails overseeing operational and administrative functions of the facility during the assigned shift, with an emphasis on optimizing processes and ensuring efficient patient care. You will facilitate patient transitions to the appropriate levels of care.

  • Supervise the operations of the designated unit and shift, ensuring the clinical team functions efficiently and consistently to deliver high-quality care and outcomes.
  • Manage the organization and flow of patients through the unit and facility, including delegating tasks across all disciplines and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges. Serve as the primary resource for clinical staff, patients, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Utilization Management and Revenue Cycle Management guidelines to guarantee accurate coding and billing of services.
  • Address escalated concerns from internal and external stakeholders, actively identifying and managing barriers that affect patient flow.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards set by regulatory and accreditation bodies.
  • Assist in training and orienting new staff to unit protocols and procedures, collaborating with discipline managers for comprehensive onboarding.
  • Employ de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment and effectively communicate roles and responsibilities related to safety.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative managers to identify and address performance and behavioral issues.
  • Possess training in Safe Clinch techniques to provide oversight and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct clinical care, including Nursing, Social Services, or Administrative support within Behavioral Health Services.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on fostering cross-functional and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Solid understanding of utilization management and revenue cycle processes in the behavioral health context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a crisis behavioral health environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
