Position Overview:
The Facility Operations Supervisor is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of the facility, including the maintenance personnel and external contractors engaged in upkeep activities.
This role encompasses the enforcement of all established guidelines and regulations applicable to staff members, as outlined in the 'Roles and Responsibilities for Staff' documentation.
In emergency scenarios involving utility disruptions or failures, the Facility Operations Supervisor will take charge, liaising with relevant vendors or utility service providers to rectify issues, while also assessing the performance of on-duty staff based on their schedules.
Performance evaluations will occur periodically, focusing on the fulfillment of assigned duties and collaboration with the ASC committee.The Facility Operations Supervisor should be capable of leading prayers and mentoring youth, managing administrative tasks, attending meetings, documenting minutes, procuring supplies, and handling financial activities related to the center and other operational sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and demonstrate the capability to perform all duties assigned to any other facility management personnel designated by the Sully Operation Committee.
In the event of an absence, the Facility Operations Supervisor is responsible for securing a replacement for that shift and documenting this absence in the Daily Activity Report.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility to assess security, identify equipment malfunctions, monitor participant behavior, and evaluate material wear, recommending repairs and replacements as necessary.
Ensure the proper utilization and maintenance of equipment.
Take responsibility for all keys granting access to various areas within the facility.
Document and report accidents, injuries, and emergency incidents as they occur or are reported while on duty at the facility.
Ensure compliance with operating and usage policies by all participants.
Oversee the preparation, execution, and cleanup of special events and specific programs.
Maintain a clean and orderly facility.
Complete tasks efficiently and independently.
Act as a supportive team member.
Open, close, and secure facilities at designated times.
Identify safety and maintenance issues to ensure a secure environment.
Perform administrative tasks and procure necessary supplies.
Assist in operational and Sunday school financial activities.
Be present at the center during assigned hours and assist with activities and events as directed by the committee.
Lead prayers and deliver lectures on topics related to Islam.
Minimum Qualifications:
Membership in the ADAMS community is advantageous.
Prior experience in community center or recreational facility management, teaching in Islamic educational institutions, and leading youth programs is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of Islam and formal training in Islamic education is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and software installation is necessary.
A valid driver's license is required.
Employment Conditions:
The Facility Operations Supervisor must be reachable via email, text, or phone for emergencies and must be physically present during significant events as needed.
Flexibility for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts is essential, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
Commitment to collaboration with staff and assistance when scheduled personnel are unavailable is crucial.
