Key Responsibilities:

This role involves overseeing the operational and administrative functions of the facility during the assigned shift, ensuring optimal processes for patient care and resource management. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the unit to guarantee efficient and consistent clinical care.
  • Coordinating patient flow through the facility, including delegating tasks across various disciplines and facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Ensuring compliance with Utilization Management and Revenue Cycle Management standards for accurate service coding and billing.
  • Addressing and resolving escalated issues from both internal and external stakeholders while identifying barriers to patient flow.
  • Maintaining adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting in the training and orientation of new staff members, collaborating with managers for comprehensive onboarding.
  • Implementing de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment for all.
  • Working alongside clinical and administrative leaders to address performance and behavioral concerns.
  • Providing guidance and oversight in Safe Clinch techniques.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct clinical care, with a background in Nursing, Social Services, or Behavioral Health Support.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration across various disciplines.
  • Understanding of utilization management and revenue cycle processes in behavioral health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of clinical experience in a crisis behavioral health environment.
  • 3 years of leadership experience.
