Senior Test Engineer at Valytics LLC

Valytics is actively seeking a Senior Test Engineer with a robust background in evaluating system specifications and acceptance criteria, particularly in the context of configuring Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proactivity, accountability, and adaptability in various tasks that support testing efforts during critical test events.

The role requires exceptional communication skills, both for virtual and in-person interactions with government testers and stakeholders.

  • Adhere to established protocols to estimate and develop test cases that meet specified requirements.
  • Link requirements directly to corresponding test cases.
  • Incorporate client feedback into the development of test cases.
  • Lead teams of testers or manage multiple projects under a unified program.
  • Conduct test cases during dry-runs, verify environments, and perform internal testing in non-production settings following outlined procedures.
  • Assist in test events by executing designated test cases and generating comprehensive annotated test evidence files for record-keeping.
  • Provide updates on testing status for review sessions.
  • Become proficient in MHS GENESIS to fulfill various roles within the testing and evaluation team.
  • Contribute to the creation of test reports following test events.
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support the DHMSM programs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must qualify for a security clearance (active Public Trust or higher preferred).
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in functional GUI testing and some back-end testing, including interface testing.
  • Familiarity with IBM Jazz test repository tool or similar platforms (JIRA, TFS, etc.) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Rhapsody, XML, and/or JSON is advantageous.
  • Experience in clinical software or related clinical environments, or prior exposure to Military Health System (MHS) applications.
  • Experience with Cerner EHR is preferred.
  • A customer-focused approach to supporting Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities.
  • Self-driven with a proven ability to work independently or as part of remote teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts in English.
  • Understanding of various testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
