The National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, within the USG Mission and Information Technology Division, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for Software Applications. This role involves collaborating within a cohesive team to design, enhance, and sustain a federated search and discovery software system that consolidates financial data from various sources. These applications will operate within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Development environment. User requirements and subsequent application functionalities will be executed iteratively following the Agile Scrum methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and managing an automated testing environment in the AWS ecosystem utilizing tools such as Selenium or equivalent testing frameworks.
  • Conducting tests on developed features and improvements for web applications, APIs, and web services.
  • Employing a tracking system to monitor all tasks and user stories.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Information Management Systems, or a related field. Note that relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in the following areas:
  • Participating in an Agile Scrum team environment.
  • Operating within a cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
  • Utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Conducting requirements analysis.
  • Creating and maintaining an automated testing environment using technologies such as Selenium, Junit, and Mockito.
  • Testing APIs and applications.
  • Employing scripting languages such as Java and JavaScript.
  • Using team collaboration tools like Confluence or similar platforms.
  • Utilizing issue tracking software such as Jira (preferred) or similar applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with testing tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software development initiatives.
  • Certifications:
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
  • Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
  • Six Sigma Certification.
