Overview:

Cyrten is in search of a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Application Tester to support an Intelligence Community (IC) client. This role focuses on enhancing a federated search and discovery software system within an AWS framework. The responsibilities include establishing and managing an automated testing environment, assessing web applications and APIs, and employing tracking systems. An active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance is mandatory for this position.

  • Establishing and managing an automated testing environment in AWS utilizing Selenium.
  • Evaluating developed features and improvements for web applications, APIs, and web services.
  • Employing a tracking system to monitor all tasks and user stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated testing processes and API Testing using Selenium and SoapUI.
  • Collaborating within an Agile Scrum team environment.
  • Operating within a cloud-based environment, specifically AWS.
  • Applying the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Conducting requirements analysis.
  • Establishing and managing an automated testing environment with technologies such as Selenium, Junit, and Mockito.
  • Assessing APIs and applications.
  • Utilizing scripting languages including Java and JavaScript.
  • Employing team collaboration tools such as Confluence or similar.
  • Using issue tracking applications like Jira (preferred) or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in supporting Enterprise software development initiatives.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Information Management Systems, or a related field.
  • Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
