Job Summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a highly experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing test plans, commissioning plans, and job sequence instructions for substation and line contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Review Test Plans: Create and review test plans, commissioning plans, and job sequence instructions for substation and line contractors performing additions and modifications to electrical transmission lines, substations, controls, SCADA, relay protection circuits, and associated equipment.
  • Act as an Agent for the Client: Ensure that plans are in accordance with the client's testing procedures and act as an agent for the client to ensure compliance.
  • Review and Approve Testing Guidelines: Review and approve testing guidelines, including cut-over write-ups, engineering changes, and reviewing changes to one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring prints.
  • Track Changes Requiring Client Approval: Track changes requiring client approval and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
Requirements
  • 10 Years of Commissioning and Testing Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning and testing, with a strong background in electrical transmission lines and substations.
  • Experience with 345kV to 69kV Systems: Experience working with 345kV to 69kV systems, including line and substation work.
  • Availability for Overtime and Travel: Availability for potential extensive overtime and travel to various locations in the New England and New York regions.
  • Associate/Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
