About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex interconnect solutions for various platforms, including combatant systems, mobile and stationary ground platforms, and missile systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop interconnect solutions using CREO and other CAD tools
  • Work with limited supervision to meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals
  • Represent the Mechanical Engineering organization as the prime technical contact for cable and harness interconnect design
  • Interact with high-level representatives on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations and suppliers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5 years of experience with interconnect design and CREO/CAD design tool
  • Experience with manufacturing within the interconnect domain, including interconnect manufacturing and/or field troubleshooting
  • Experience with component military specifications, standards, test specifications, QPLs, and/or QMLs associated with connectors, coaxial cables, multi-conductor cables, interconnection cable and wire, and/or fiber-optic cables
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of military and commercial codes and standards for cabling and interconnects design
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering
