Job Description

Evolve Treatment Centers offers short-term residential treatment programs for adolescents struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or behavior issues in a comfortable home-like environment.

The Academic Program Coordinator will oversee our 6-bed adolescent treatment centers in Walnut Creek and Lafayette.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients' academic needs are met alongside their mental health needs.
  • Develop individualized academic programs with learning goals for each student during their time in the residential treatment center.
  • Travel between treatment centers to be present for daily school time and facilitate positive learning experiences for clients.
  • Provide 1:1 support with schoolwork and maintain safety of students through close observation and monitoring.
  • Consult with Primary Therapist, Program Directors, and parents to provide recommendations and accommodations.
  • Provide weekly updates to parents on clients' academic progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with reading transcripts and academic credits and provide guidance on alternative school options.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to tutor students in High School English and Algebra 1
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and internet-based school platforms
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable means of transportation.
  • Pass a LiveScan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks.
