Job Summary

The CIA Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Executive Banquet Chef to lead our Special Events culinary team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all food production and service for events, conferences, and exhibitions at our locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to create customized menus that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Develop and implement menu concepts that showcase our culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Manage food costs, labor, and inventory to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with event planners, sales teams, and other departments to ensure successful events.
  • Ensure high-quality food presentation, taste, and temperature.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, menu concepts, and culinary techniques to maintain our competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in culinary management, preferably in a fine dining or special events setting.
  • Proven track record of success in leading a team and managing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with events up to 1500 guests.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish languages.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular work requires standing, lifting, bending, and stretching.
