The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director at ACCIONA plays a pivotal role in steering our commitment to sustainable practices and ensuring a safe working environment across our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As the EHS Director, you will oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and execution of a robust EHS management system across all project phases.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and client-specific HSE requirements.
- Collaborating with clients and project teams to foster positive relationships and enhance HSE performance.
Essential Functions:
Your role will encompass supervising EHS personnel, promoting quality standards, and supporting the implementation of Environmental Plans. Specific duties include:
- Directing the development of the Worksite Management Plan and monitoring HSE systems in construction.
- Overseeing the administration of HSE documentation and ensuring proper control of project documents.
- Assisting in the creation of HSE management plans, including Environmental Protection Plans and Safety Management Plans.
- Setting compliance objectives and ensuring targets are met across all HSE functions.
- Coordinating activities to meet HSE standards and developing technical procedures as necessary.
- Evaluating supplier specifications to ensure alignment with customer and legal requirements.
- Analyzing nonconformities and implementing corrective actions to enhance system effectiveness.
- Providing training and resources to empower project staff in achieving HSE objectives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles, particularly in major infrastructure projects valued at $200M or more.
- At least 2 years of experience managing a safety department with a team of 20 or more.
