Front Desk Representative Job Description

Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
  • Practice Management System: Utilize our practice management system to create and maintain accurate patient records, scan medical records and documents, and verify insurance information.
  • Registration and Verification: Verify patient registration forms are complete, obtain referring physician and primary physician information, and ensure patients have current referrals on file.
  • Insurance Verification and Collection: Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits and procedures, and collect all applicable co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles from patients.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front office area, including stocking business cards and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a medical practice or similar setting preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus.
  • Software Experience: eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired.
