Position Overview:

This role is crucial for ensuring the effective management of policy issuance processes that align with compliance and performance benchmarks. The selected candidate will provide essential support to underwriters in processing endorsement requests, adhering to both carrier and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters in achieving or surpassing production targets as designated by the department.
  • Review and manage policy servicing requests, including endorsements, audits, and certificates.
  • Underwrite products and services offered by the company to clients.
  • Audit and verify all required information prior to the issuance of policies.
  • Issue policies in accordance with established company guidelines.
  • Analyze requests for changes, general service inquiries, and endorsements.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Approve or deny endorsements within the authority granted.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Utilize information from the policy services manager to implement necessary compliance changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and agents through prompt and accurate service.
  • Assist management in refining workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the department.
  • Proofread policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations, making corrections as needed.
  • Maintain a suspense system and follow up on the receipt of policies and related documentation from external sources.
  • Conduct necessary ratings to ensure the accuracy of policy information.
  • Review inspection reports and compare them to the conditions represented at the time of binding, taking appropriate actions as directed.
  • Process cancellations and reinstatements of policies based on company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain required licenses to conduct business.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Relevant insurance experience.
  • A minimum of three years in wholesale insurance or equivalent experience.
  • Current state-specific insurance license.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze critical components of insurance policies.
  • Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.
  • Proficiency in utilizing company automation tools.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
