Position Overview:

This role involves the administration of a precise and timely policy issuance process that aligns with compliance and performance benchmarks. The individual will provide support to underwriters with endorsement requests to ensure adherence to both carrier and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Below is a summary of the primary functions associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

  • Assist underwriters in achieving or surpassing production targets as designated by the organization.
  • Review and process policy servicing requests, including endorsements, audits, and company inquiries.
  • Underwrite products and services for clients.
  • Audit, correct, and verify all essential information prior to policy issuance.
  • Issue policies in accordance with company protocols.
  • Analyze change requests and general service inquiries.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Approve or deny endorsements within the binding authority.
  • Ensure compliance documentation standards are met and all paperwork is completed.
  • Utilize information from the policy services manager to implement necessary compliance changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and agents through timely and accurate service.
  • Support management in refining workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the policy services department.
  • Proofread policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations, making corrections as needed.
  • Maintain a suspense system and follow up on the receipt of necessary documents from external sources.
  • Conduct ratings as required to confirm the accuracy of policy information.
  • Review inspection reports and take appropriate actions based on findings.
  • Cancel and reinstate policies according to outlined terms and regulations.
  • Maintain necessary licenses to conduct business.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years in wholesale insurance or equivalent experience.
  • Current state-specific license.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze key components of insurance policies.
  • Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.
  • Proficiency in using company automation tools.
  • Capability to foster and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

Eligible employees working 20 hours or more per week can access a range of benefits, which may vary based on the division offering the position. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and tax-advantaged savings accounts, among other voluntary options.

All regularly scheduled employees can contribute to a 401(k) savings plan, with eligibility for company matching contributions after one year of service. Employees receive a minimum of 10 days of vacation and 10 sick days annually, along with paid holidays.
