Job Description

Position Overview:

  • The Collections and Credit Specialist is tasked with the following responsibilities:
  • Engaging in communication regarding collection initiatives across all operational branches
  • Delivering customer support related to account balances, credit inquiries, and collection matters
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong skills in communication, organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate correspondence related to collections with clients concerning overdue balances and delivery efforts
  • Inform clients about their account status, delivery requirements, alternative payment options, and implications of non-payment
  • Review and process account adjustments as necessary
  • Evaluate collections reports for precision and accuracy
  • Support other credit and collections team members as needed
  • Act as a representative of the organization with a comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Supervisory Role:

  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

  • This role is conducted in a professional office setting, requiring the use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers/scanners

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While executing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type / Expected Work Hours:

  • This is a full-time role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the potential for additional hours as required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel is expected, approximately 5%.
