Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and possess exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our accounting department, including project costing, invoice coding, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including project costing, invoice coding, and reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly close procedures and prepare financial statements.
  • Maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and prepare operating data and special reports as required.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Evaluate and manage risk, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Work closely with the management team to share reports and analysis findings.
  • Mentor, train, and develop the accounting staff to grow within their roles and meet the objectives and goals of the department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar.
  • Proven experience with project costing, invoice coding, reconciliations, completing monthly close procedures, and managing the General Ledger.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong ability in strategic planning and financial management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience in managing a team.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
