Job Overview

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team in a dynamic role focused on electrical systems engineering and controls.

Location: Johnstown, PA

Clearance Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electrical systems design, fabrication, integration, and testing. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Engineering, the successful applicant will provide critical support across various programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of electrical control systems for operational and process installations.
  • Conduct hands-on wiring of electrical panels and machinery based on layout diagrams.
  • Program Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and embedded controllers.
  • Integrate advanced power electronics, including DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
  • Support the analysis and development of prototype systems.
  • Prepare and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and system layout drawings.
  • Draft and assess specifications for electrical systems.
  • Perform engineering studies and evaluations to ensure system integrity.
  • Estimate costs associated with system development.
  • Manage documentation and reporting duties effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 4-6 years of experience.
  • Proficient in hands-on electrical panel and machine wiring.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar engineering design software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software applications such as Matlab, PLC programming, LabVIEW, C++, and Visual Basic.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuits and theory.
  • Experience in machine control systems.
  • Expertise in electrical modeling systems.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is a plus.
