Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview
The Logistics Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and repair of company facilities. This position is responsible for conducting routine maintenance inspections, addressing repair needs, and implementing both preventive and corrective measures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by management and internal requests.
- Perform essential repairs and installations related to electrical systems and plumbing.
- Engage in various maintenance activities including painting, carpentry, and masonry.
- Conduct daily inspections of the warehouse and complete maintenance checklists.
- Report site conditions and maintenance concerns to the maintenance supervisor.
- Manage and organize inventory of supplies and necessary components.
- Collaborate with external contractors to ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Oversee the maintenance of the warehouse facilities and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
- Ensure that external contractors adhere to safety regulations while working on company premises.
- Assist in the administration of maintenance records and contracts.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Understanding of retail and distribution environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management and OSHA regulations.
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems maintenance.
- Skilled in using power tools and performing carpentry, painting, and plastering tasks.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word, and familiarity with using tablets.
- Strong time management and communication abilities.
- Capability to identify maintenance needs and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to detail is essential.
Preferred Experience
Experience in building maintenance, including appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and preventive maintenance is advantageous.
Education and Experience Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Alternatively, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
