Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on production equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on production machines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Document maintenance procedures and maintain a daily log to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to maintain involvement with plant processing equipment and scale systems.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating strong safety leadership skills and following safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and good manufacturing practices.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs.
  • Review work orders and requests to determine necessary tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and other documentation.
  • Monitor equipment or machinery while in operation to detect malfunctions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years' direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic/automation controllers, human-machine interfaces, hardware, I/O cards, sensors, and other electrical components.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds utilizing the buddy system or specifically designed lifting devices.

Compensation and Schedule

Salary: $ hourly. EOY Bonus available.

Work schedule: 2nd (2:30pm-11pm) and 3rd (10:30pm- 7am) shift positions available.
