Position Overview

The Logistics Maintenance Associate is essential in ensuring the upkeep and repair of company facilities, conducting routine maintenance inspections, and implementing both preventative and corrective measures. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance tasks as directed by established protocols and internal requests.
  • Perform electrical and plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations as needed.
  • Engage in painting, carpentry, and masonry tasks to uphold facility standards.
  • Execute various handyman functions to address maintenance needs.
  • Inspect the warehouse daily and complete the preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Report site conditions and concerns to the maintenance manager promptly.
  • Organize and manage supplies and necessary components for maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with external contractors as required under service agreements.
  • Oversee and maintain warehouse facilities, assets, and equipment to ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure that external contractors adhere to Health and Safety standards while working on company premises.
  • Assist in the filing and administration of contracts and maintenance records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with retail and distribution environments.
  • Understanding of inventory management and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficient in maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing fundamentals, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to operate power tools and perform carpentry, painting, and plastering tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and Word, along with familiarity with iPad usage.
  • Strong time management and communication abilities.
  • Capability to identify maintenance needs, develop solutions, and provide recommendations.
  • Attention to detail in all tasks.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in building maintenance, including appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Alternatively, 3-5 years of experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
