About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Terminology course or successful completion of a hospital Medical Terminology test within 90 days of hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • 6 months of healthcare experience
