We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help with mobility and transfers, such as walking and using a wheelchair.
- Assist with feeding and hydration, such as feeding patients and helping with meal preparation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course or successful completion of a hospital Medical Terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- Within 30 days of hire, National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification required.
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
