About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Assist with vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Help with mobility and transfers, such as walking and using a wheelchair
  • Assist with feeding and hydration, such as feeding patients and helping with meal preparation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital Medical Terminology test within 90 days of hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • 6 months healthcare experience
