Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Leader to join our team at our facility in Minneapolis, MN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and synchronize the activities of various departments through subordinate supervisors and plant personnel, ensuring accountability for safety, cost management, operational methods, quality, and production output.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to strategically plan and organize work processes.
  • Enhance and expand production capabilities to meet both monthly and annual shipping targets.
  • Monitor performance standards, assess progress, facilitate interdepartmental workflow, identify delays, and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory levels to fulfill customer commitments effectively.
  • Interpret and clarify company policies, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Assess and recommend staffing requirements, shift schedules, and equipment needs.
  • Conduct interviews, provide training, and foster employee retention.
  • Address employee grievances in partnership with supervisors and human resources.
  • Supervise departments engaged in the production of door and frame products, ensuring skilled labor is effectively utilized.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment while prioritizing the safety of all personnel.
  • Oversee daily operations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure the safety and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Evaluate and monitor plant procedures.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute production and performance reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive safety and administrative documentation.
  • Control operational costs to align with company budget objectives.
  • Develop and execute a thorough preventative maintenance strategy.

Qualifications

  • Preferred degree in management or operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with commercial metal door manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Experience in training manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and capable of managing a safety training initiative.
