About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager to join our dynamic Revenue Accounting team. In this critical role, you will create and execute effective, streamlined credit and collections policies, enhance efficiency in daily operations and month-end close, evolve reporting and metrics to drive insights, and lead project-based initiatives to enable business scale.
Responsibilities:- AR Operations: Spearhead daily AR operations, including streamlining payment applications, managing billing inquiries, and executing strategic collection outreach.
- Metrics and Reporting: Develop and implement robust metrics to track and report key AR and collections KPIs to internal stakeholders.
- Credit Check Process: Create and implement a credit check process for new customers' applications.
- Collection Strategy: Establish collection strategy and dunning process, including appropriate reminders, collections, and deactivations.
- Month-End Close: Manage AR-related month-end close procedures, including comprehensive cash and AR reconciliations, in-depth AR aging analysis, and thorough bad debt assessments and write-off recommendations.
- AR System Evaluation: Lead evaluation of AR system needs, orchestrate RFP processes, and oversee implementations.
- Process Improvements: Pioneer process improvements and automation initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Establish strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Legal, Finance, and other key stakeholders as a strategic business partner.
- Financial Audits: Serve as key liaison during financial audits, ensuring compliance and effective control in the AR and Collection area.
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Have a minimum 7 years of progressive experience in AR, Collections, and related accounting practices, ideally in a high-growth tech company.
- Management Experience: Have 3+ years of management and leadership experience.
- Accounting Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of AR-related accounting principles, GAAP standards, and financial operations best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Have exceptional attention to detail with ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Communication Skills: Have outstanding communication skills; proven track record of engaging stakeholders and clients effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Have strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Technical Skills: Have proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Stripe.
- Comfort with Ambiguity: Have comfort with ambiguity and minimal supervision.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high curiosity and ability to dive deep.
- Change Implementation: Have knowledge of change implementation and impact prediction.
- Hands-on Approach: Are willing to roll up sleeves and get hands-on.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Anthropic's good faith estimate for this position as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. Employees based outside of the UK or US will receive a different benefits package.
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including where you place on our internal performance ladders, which is based on factors including past work experience, relevant education, and performance on our interviews or in a work trial.
