About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Information Technology to lead our IT function and drive business growth at Interactive Resources - iR. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for building and managing our infrastructure, manufacturing technologies, data, and systems delivery to achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to our IT team, ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and the implementation of business-driven IT solutions.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technological insight and advice to improve business profitability, market share, and productivity.
  • Software Development: Lead our software development team responsible for our internally developed platform, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Backlog Management: Collect, prioritize, and manage the backlog of software development requirements to ensure we can meet all business objectives.
  • Thought Leadership: Be a thought leader focused on how to improve customer and colleague experience with our platform, driving innovation and improvement initiatives.
  • IT Governance: Establish and document effective and updated IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Management: Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services, responding with agility to changing business priorities.
  • IT Strategy: Integrate the IT and business strategy to achieve company goals, fostering innovation, organizing teams, and directing the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technology solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Determine the appropriate internal and external IT teams/vendors to support business objectives, implementing an effective IT organizational structure, goals, and operating processes.
  • Financial Investment: Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective financial investment in IT solutions, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and development.
  • Risk Management: Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments, developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Security and Continuity: Implement enterprise-wide security, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of our IT systems.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and attract talented business and technology professionals, delegating significant responsibilities to team members and holding them accountable.
  • Team Engagement: Forge strong service-oriented teams, engaging the team through enthusiasm and excitement about the business.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience leading high-performing IT teams with substantial hands-on experience in IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in a field related to serving the auto sales and financing industries is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vb.NET, Visual Studio, SQL, Jenkins, and Microsoft Azure.
  • SOX Compliance: Experience managing SOX compliance and audit procedures.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiating skills and drives issues to closure.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present complex ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • DR and BCP: In-depth knowledge of DR, BCP, critical infrastructure management, incident response, vulnerability management, and data protection.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with rapidly changing technologies and environments; continually seeking improvement and innovative solutions.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and knowledge of problem-solving tools to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Effective communicator, able to clearly articulate business needs, progress, and challenges at all levels of the organization.
