The Transportation Supervisor will lead a team of transportation professionals to ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of commercial drivers and dispatch coordinators to support the Genesis/7 Eleven fresh food delivery
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle use, condition, and maintenance
  • Develop and implement efficient delivery schedules to maximize productivity and minimize costs
  • Recommend programs to improve the operation of the fleet and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Implement a performance evaluation system to recommend promotions, wage increases, and terminations
  • Process bills of lading and ensure accurate charges are billed in the appropriate manner
  • Establish a trip reporting procedure and process trip reports from all drivers and shipments
  • Assure the timely creation and filing of Department of Transportation reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • MEC card credentials highly desired, with willingness to obtain upon hire
  • 0-3 years of experience in transportation and fleet management
