About the Role

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is a leading provider of transportation infrastructure solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading complex transportation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans, including scope, budget, schedule, quality, communication, risk management, and health and safety.
  • Collaborate with technical staff, construction contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive reports, plans, specifications, and contract documents that meet TXDOT guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including TXDOT representatives, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Austin area, leveraging local market insights to expand Hanson's presence.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, empowering them to achieve their best and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Monitor project performance, analyzing data to ensure successful completion of short- and long-term goals while ensuring compliance with TXDOT standards.
  • Manage project budgets, achieving financial targets and adapting project constraints based on thorough financial analysis.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in transportation project management, with a strong understanding of TXDOT guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges, particularly in navigating TXDOT's regulatory landscape.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of earned value methodology and project control mechanisms, including scheduling and change management.
  • Proficient in understanding accrual-based revenue recognition and interpreting project budget/financial reports.
