Position Overview

Become a pioneering trainer at Nike's inaugural boutique fitness initiative, developed in collaboration with FitLab.

FitLab is partnering with Nike to establish a unique group fitness environment that promotes movement through the guidance of elite coaches, engaging workouts, and a supportive community. Nike Strength Studios will combine the enjoyment, energy, and camaraderie of group fitness with the effectiveness and coaching of structured strength training. We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Studio Trainers to lead exceptional group workouts at our innovative fitness studios.

This role offers competitive compensation per class, ongoing education for all trainers, and discounts on apparel.

We are devoted to empowering our members to achieve their personal best through the most engaging and transformative fitness experience available. Here’s how you will contribute:

  • Execute and deliver daily pre-established brand standard group fitness workouts
  • Effectively explain, cue, modify, regress, and progress movements within a group fitness setting to ensure safety and appropriate challenges for members of varying fitness levels
  • Cultivate community, inclusivity, and member development by serving as a leader both during and outside of class sessions
  • Be available to engage in member events beyond coaching hours to enhance member involvement
  • Assist with troubleshooting in-studio technology, including microphone upkeep, studio equipment, lighting, and audio
  • Prepare, dismantle, clean, and store equipment before and after each class
  • Participate in coach onboarding, team programming meetings, performance evaluations, and continuing education opportunities

This position is for a role in a fitness studio owned and operated by FitLab Inc. and is distinct from Nike. FitLab holds a license to utilize Nike's branding and trademarks in its studio operations and programming. However, FitLab operates as an independent entity and employer separate from Nike. If you are selected for this position, FitLab will be your employer, not Nike. Nike will not have access to your employment application and will not be involved in any employment decisions, including interview opportunities or hiring outcomes.

Qualifications

We are looking for exceptional studio trainers to support our superstar members. Here’s what we require:

  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
  • Professional, approachable, energetic, and positive demeanor
  • Commitment to treating all individuals with respect and integrity
  • Flexible availability to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A minimum of four years of experience as a top-tier personal trainer

Specialization in strength and conditioning training for diverse body types is essential.

Ability to clearly articulate movement and strength training concepts through education and precise cueing on an individual basis.

Strong knowledge of strength training techniques using barbells.

  • A minimum of two years of group fitness experience

Proficient understanding of strength training methods with both barbells and dumbbells.

Capability to effectively modify and progress multiple clients throughout their workouts in a large group setting.

  • Current fitness certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE or similar)

CSCS certification is highly preferred.

  • Current CPR/AED First Aid certification
  • A background check will be conducted on all final candidates upon receipt of the signed offer letter and release form.

  • This role requires the ability to safely demonstrate and perform various exercise movements with and without equipment and the capacity to transport equipment (up to 100 lbs.)
  • Ability to engage in physical activity for the duration of a class, which may include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and kneeling
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. To fulfill essential functions, candidates must be able to communicate with members and/or co-workers in environments with moderate to loud volumes
