Position Overview:

As an integral member of our finance department, you will oversee and evaluate statutory reporting for both external and internal stakeholders, ensuring the punctual delivery of monthly and quarterly reports to investors, capital markets, and regulatory bodies. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation of the annual report and footnote schedules, the creation of offering documents for debt and equity transactions, and the provision of critical accounting guidance for new products, projects, and contracts. You will also be tasked with developing and updating US GAAP accounting policies, coordinating audit requests, and spearheading process enhancements to improve reporting efficiency. Furthermore, you will assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial modeling, while supporting automation initiatives aimed at optimizing accounting processes and reducing the time required for month-end close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review statutory reporting for external and internal clients within specified timelines, including monthly and quarterly reports for investors and capital markets stakeholders.
  • Compile annual reports and footnote schedules.
  • Draft offering documents for both private and public debt and equity transactions.
  • Provide accounting guidance for new products, projects, or contracts as necessary, including the preparation of accounting transaction memos and establishing accounting flows in NetSuite.
  • Develop and maintain US GAAP accounting policies, ensuring compliance and timely updates as required.
  • Coordinate audit requests from external auditors, supplying necessary support and analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and other responsibilities.
  • Assist the finance team with month-end closing, including journal entry preparation and financial model updates, as well as monthly and quarterly investor reporting.
  • Support automation projects aimed at streamlining accounting processes and minimizing month-end close duration.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in a financial services technology environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively, including ongoing requests from external parties.
  • Experience with month-end closing processes.
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel; familiarity with SQL/Python is advantageous.
  • Fluency and clarity in English communication.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Familiarity with communication tools, task management systems, Google Drive, Google Email, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
  • Background in the credit card, banking, or technology sectors is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is a plus. Public accounting experience is highly regarded.
