Optical Production Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location: Fairport, NY, US

Position Overview:

We are seeking detail-oriented and technically skilled manufacturing technicians to join our team. The products developed at our advanced facility play a crucial role in enabling everyday technology, particularly in the semiconductor sector.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 2nd & 3rd shifts with potential overtime

Qualifications:

Experience in optical manufacturing is advantageous, as is familiarity with cleanroom environments. A high school diploma is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is preferred.

Work Environment:

Indoor, climate-controlled setting with various cleanroom areas requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) and gowning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute precision alignment, assembly, and testing of optical components and assemblies.
  • Conduct system-level testing of assemblies to assess image quality, including MTF, stray light, transmission, and distortion.
  • Set up, calibrate, align, and operate metrology equipment.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures in a cleanroom environment for assembling optical components.
  • Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and instructions to guide assembly processes.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and precision measuring devices, including vacuum equipment, digital indicators, torque wrenches, optical microscopes, height gauges, Vernier gauges, micrometers, and electronic testing fixtures.
