Job Title: Admissions Counselor

At Universal Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Admissions Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders and dual diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and crisis interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with referral sources, families, and patients to facilitate a smooth and efficient admissions process.
  • Coordinate the referral and intake process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date.
  • Determine the appropriate level of care for each patient and facilitate their admission to our treatment programs.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders, including patients, families, and referral sources.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a related field, such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling, is preferred but a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Previous experience in intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention with a substance abuse and dual diagnosis population is highly desirable.
