Job Title: Admissions Counselor

At Universal Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Admissions Counselor to join our team. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing telephonic and in-person risk assessments and crisis interventions, as well as coordinating the referral and intake process for our substance use disorder and dual diagnosis treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and crisis interventions to determine the level of care required for each patient
  • Coordinate the referral and intake process, ensuring seamless transitions for patients and families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Facilitate the admission process, ensuring that all necessary documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and efficiently
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling
  • Experience in intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention with a substance abuse and dual diagnosis population
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
