Job Overview

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Constructs RF, Fiber, network, serial, MIL-spec, and power connector and cable assemblies following cable run sheets, parts lists, assembly instructions, and drawings.
  • Assembles both rack-mounted and desktop electronic devices according to provided assembly drawings and procedures, utilizing standard assembly tools and soldering techniques.
  • Conducts testing on assemblies and equipment using standard testing instruments such as multi-meters, fiber scopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Performs quality assurance checks and verifications to ensure that products comply with safety and quality standards.
Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in applying basic mathematics to complete production tasks.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams or independently within a dynamic production environment to deliver high-quality products.
  • Skilled in assembling wire harnesses and cables using documentation, parts lists, hand tools, and knowledge acquired through training.
  • Capable of interpreting schematics, sketches, specifications, and verbal or written instructions to construct cables, wire harnesses, and small component assemblies.
  • Technical proficiency in cutting, stripping, marking, terminating, and labeling cables using hand tools and related equipment.
  • Adept at inspecting finished products and performing Quality Assurance functions to ensure compliance with project and customer specifications.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to convey job status and constraints to team members and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the production area as needed.
  • Open to receiving and interpreting on-site training to master soldering, fabrication, and technical requirements of the role.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a production setting focused on cable and electronic equipment assembly.
  • Relevant industry-specific training, college, or technical education.
  • Soldering Certifications (IPC/WHMA A-610).
  • Fiber Termination Certifications (NAVSEA/KITCO).
  • Experience in building RF / Coax, Network, Power, Fiber Optic, MIL-spec, or serial cable assemblies.
