Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Application Security Principal Engineer for a hybrid role. This position is integral to our product cybersecurity team, focusing on safeguarding applications and software solutions.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience with penetration testing tools, particularly Burp Suite.
- Familiarity with application security tools and IDE Plug-in environments, including HP Fortify.
- Expertise in securing enterprise web applications, with knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CVSS, CWE, WASC, and SANS-25.
Desirable Skills:
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CEH.
- Understanding of federal compliance standards, including NIST and NIST CSF.
- Cloud Technology Expertise: Ability to assess security implications unique to cloud-based mobile applications and APIs.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation for security testing purposes.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the product cybersecurity manager to ensure the security and integrity of applications and software products. Responsibilities include:
- Providing expert guidance and conducting thorough security assessments.
- Shaping the security posture of the organization.
- Working with product development teams to prioritize and validate the urgency of addressing identified vulnerabilities and enhancing security features.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Overseeing security testing, including static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, and penetration testing.
- Implementing system hardening and remediation processes to assist developers and system administrators in addressing vulnerabilities and establishing security controls.
Compensation: $67-78/hr
Compensation may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefits: Benefit packages commence on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and access to a 401k retirement account with employer matching. Employees are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as mandated by applicable law.
