About This Role

The Manager, Application Engineering is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our award-winning healthcare payments platform. As a seasoned technical leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled Application Engineers and QA resources to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring timely delivery of projects and high-quality results.
  • Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and other People Operations responsibilities for team members.
  • Schedule projects and resources, and monitor project timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Motivate and guide team members to achieve team goals through counseling, performance reviews, mentoring, and team-building activities.
  • Coach team members to develop into more senior and experienced resources.
  • Work closely with Business Product Owners to identify priorities for Application Development and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other Managers within Technology and key stakeholders in related departments.
  • Help establish, drive, and enhance processes and procedures within the team and Technology department.
  • Establish training offerings to support team members' growth and development.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of.NET and SQL Server experience.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Technical Lead/Lead Engineer.
  • Unit Testing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and welcome change.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in both team and solo environments.
  • Experience building highly scalable software solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in at least one technical track.
  • Ability to run a team of 3+ team members.
  • Able to plan and initiate multi-quarter projects with a full project team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

  • N-Tier and SaaS development experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a people leader.
