Job Summary

The Coating Operations Manager directs and manages coating operations with overall responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive production, review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Drive operational excellence and profitability incorporating best practices.
  • Guide and develop hourly crew leaders and hourly production associates.
  • Review plans and collaborate with engineering and quality to develop new product processes.
  • Ensure coating operations and precise controls are maintained.
  • Implement cost-effective systems.
  • Adhere to budget ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
  • Provide direction, development and leadership in a high-functioning and quick-paced environment.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports daily, personnel records and employee disciplinary actions.
  • Attend meetings with a professional demeanor and able to give production reports as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Business-related field, preferred but not required.
  • 3 + years of related work experience.
  • Interpersonal skills and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have proven leadership skills.
